I ran into this issue with John Jay College and spent 3 hours between Kaitlin and Myself troubleshooting this issue before we finally figured out where the problem was. The customer was trying to change from basketball to volleyball in stat crew to get the stats on the stat panels. Stat crew released a new software version for volleyball to implement some new NCAA rules. When he installed the new Stat Crew version after a couple hours of troubleshooting I found that the new version of Stat Crew defaulted all the settings that he had originally set. I consulted the Stat Crew Interface Setup Manual and discovered that in order for our interface to work with the scoreboard stat panels you have to have
Configuration of StatCrew Software
The stat crew software will need to be configured to output the required xml document.
These settings will be located in the main StatCrew program.
To allow the on-court players' stats to be displayed on the scoreboard, set the following options in the DOS scoring program:
1) Remote Display | Terminal Type -- set to Scoreboard.
2) Options | Full subs -- enter Y to enable full substitutions entry.
Going through those options I found that the default for stat crew is to have the terminal type set as the pc so it will output the xml to the computer but will not send the information through our interface to the stat panels.
I also learned that the customer did not have full subs enabled and he did not have his oncourt set for his current game.
After all of this and making sure that our stat panel interface software was setup correctly I still could not get anything to display on the panels.
I then had the customer unplug the interface from power then reset the computer while leaving the interface unplugged, Log the computer back on to the desktop, Plug the interface back in and restart the stat crew software and the stat panels started working properly.
